More purchases on Aliexpress can be made in Russia: the threshold for duty-free import of goods has been increased from 200 to 1000 euros

The Prime Minister of Russia, at a meeting with his deputies, announced that the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), at the suggestion of Russia, will increase the duty-free import limit for goods from foreign online stores for individuals in Russia from €200 to €1,000, and this measure has already been approved by the Council Eurasian Economic Commission. The increased limit will be valid until October 1, 2022.


The Prime Minister of Russia said: “Raising the duty-free threshold will allow citizens to continue shopping in foreign online stores, especially since some of them already accept payment with MIR cards.”


At the same time, the requirements for the weight of the parcel remained the same - the weight of the parcel from a foreign online store should not exceed the threshold of 31 kg, if this weight of the parcel is exceeded, a fee of 15% of the order value will be charged, but not less than 2 euros per 1 kg.
