Sanya city on Hainan island among tourists ranks second among the most popular cities in China

The Institute of Finance and Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Chinese Tourism Social Research Center have released the Beijing Green Book: Report on China's Tourism Development from 2018 to 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the “Report”) in Beijing. According to the report, Shanghai, Sanya and Beijing are in the TOP cities in the Chinese urban leisure index.


It is reported that the Report is based on a system for assessing the urban leisure index, based on the image and reputation of the city, space and environment for leisure, the economy and the leisure industry, opportunities and services for leisure, leisure and consumption, as well as tourism attention, based on a regional perspective cities. The Report presents the results of calculating the leisure index, a comprehensive analysis of leisure construction in 290 cities in China and an assessment of each sub-item (subsystem).


 According to calculations, the top ten cities in the urban leisure index include Shanghai, Sanya, Beijing, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Xi'an and Lhasa.
