The first patient was a 65-year-old woman from Wuhan who arrived in Lingao County, Hainan. The patient felt uncomfortable, fever, cough and other symptoms in the afternoon of January 16, 2020 and January 20, 2020 was transferred to the designated hospital for isolation and treatment. In the early morning hours of January 21, 2020, the Hainan CDC used tests to detect the 2019-nCoV virus for testing, and the samples were positive. On January 22, 2020, the samples were sent to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention for testing for 2019-nCoV virus on Hainan Island and the results were positive. A diagnostic team from the National Health and Health Commission confirmed that it was confirmed as a confirmed case of 2019-nCoV virus pneumonia in Hainan.

 

Further, three more cases were confirmed in Hainan, China: Xie Mumu, 68 years old, from Wuhan, arrived in Haikou from Wuhan on January 18, 2020, patient Zhang Mumu, man, 45 years old, arrived from Wuhan in Haikou on the evening of January 19, 2020. , Patient Zhu Mumu, 27, arrived from Wuhan to Sanya on January 20, 2020.

 

After the outbreak of pneumonia caused by the 2019-nCoV virus in Hainan from Wuhan, the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government attached great importance to the immediate launch of a joint prevention and control mechanism to enhance information sharing and joint prevention and control between departments of Hainan Island.
