Russia lifted restrictions on crossing borders with Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Ecuador and transit from the Kaliningrad region

Decree No. 1175-r of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 14, 2022, signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, was published on the official website of the legal information of the Government of Russia.

 

Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 14, 2022 No. 1175-r removed from May 16, 2022 a number of restrictions on crossing the state border of the Russian Federation, which were provided for by decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 16, 2020 No. 635-r and of March 27, 2020 No. 763- r, namely:

 

- for crossing the land border by citizens of the Russian Federation to enter the territory of Georgia;

 

- for crossing the land border by citizens of the Russian Federation to enter the territory of the Republic of Armenia and for crossing the land border by citizens of the Republic of Armenia to enter the territory of the Russian Federation, including by crossing the Russian-Georgian section of the state border of the Russian Federation;

 

- for crossing the land border by citizens of the Russian Federation for entry into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and for crossing the land border by citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for entry into the territory of the Russian Federation, including through the Russian-Kazakh border;

 

- for crossing the land border by citizens of the Russian Federation leaving the territory of the Kaliningrad region through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania to another part of the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as those traveling from one part of the territory of the Russian Federation to the Kaliningrad region through the territories of foreign states, subject to the presentation of documents confirming registration on place of residence or place of stay on the territory of the Kaliningrad region or ownership of real estate located on the territory of the Kaliningrad region (except for cases of traveling by rail);

 

- for crossing the border by citizens of the Russian Federation flying on regular and charter flights from Russian airports to Ecuador.

 

Compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements:

- those crossing the border with Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic will need a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus, made no earlier than 72 hours before arrival, or a vaccination certificate. (Armenia recognizes Sputnik V and other Russian vaccines);

 

-crossing the border with Georgia, you will need a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus, made no earlier than 72 hours before arrival, or a vaccination certificate.
