The value added of industrial products in Hainan Province, China in 2020 was 53.629 billion yuan, down 5.4% from the previous year. Among them, value added in oversized industries fell 4.5% over the previous year. According to light and heavy industry, value added in light industry fell by 1.4%, while value added in heavy industry fell by 6.0%. In terms of economic types, the value added of state-owned enterprises increased by 9.2%, joint-stock enterprises fell by 3.7%, and foreign companies and enterprises with investments from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan fell by 9.0%.


Among the eight main sectors, value added: agriculture and secondary food processing increased by 20.5%, paper and paper products production decreased by 1.1%, refining industry decreased by 16.1%, chemical raw materials and chemical production. industry grew 1.3%, while pharmaceutical manufacturing declined 5.0%, the non-metallic mineral products industry fell 5.8%, the automotive industry expanded 118.4%, and electricity and heat production increased 0.1%


The production of the main types of industrial products and their growth rates are presented in Table 3. Overall, in 2020, oversize industrial operating profit declined 9.7% year-on-year, operating profit margin was 6.3%, and total realized profit decreased 23.6% year-on-year. The added value of the construction industry in Hainan Province, China in 2020 was 52.261 billion yuan, up 3.7% over the previous year.


The province has 260 skill-level construction enterprises, an increase of 35, and 71,800 employees, down 5.8% from the previous year. The area of ​​housing construction of qualified construction companies in the region for the year amounted to 18,236,600 square meters, which is 21.0% less than in the previous year; the completed residential area was 2,995 million square meters, a decrease of 38.2%. compared to the previous year. The province's skilled construction enterprises earned a total profit of 1.618 billion yuan, up 1.0% from the previous year, and taxes and fees paid amounted to 3.102 billion yuan, up 1.1% from the previous year.
