October 14,2010Yesterday completed the third stage of "Tour of Hainan" - is an international cycling race in Hainan Island. The length of the stage was 146 km 400 meters and ran from the Wuzhishan City to Xinglong City. The winner of the stage was American Charles Huff, who drove this stage in the shortest time-3 hours, 45 minutes and 56 seconds. The second at the finish line came Russian rider- Sergey Kudentsov fom Team Indonesia's Polygon Sweet Nice, third-ranked Yuri Metlushenko from Ukrainian national team. Yuri Metlushenko- is the most experienced rider, it has previously been involved in cycling in Hainan Island.
Despite the fact, that this stage is passed through the areas of Hainan Island, recently affected by heavy rains, holding events that did not stop, the road has dried out and were in good condition.
Organizers of competitions is almost fully utilized the competition rules of the famous Tour de France and Giro d'Italia, so the best rider at this stage - American Charles Huff wore the yellow T-shirt. Yellow T-shirt is a T-short for a leader of "Tour de France" and of "Tour of Hainan".
T-shirt of "The Mountain King", in French is called a "maillot a pois rouges", which literally translates as "T-shirt with red dots", this T-shirt wearing cyclist from Spain.
Blue T-shirt dressed rider from Kazakhstan, T-shirt of this color is given to the rider who has most points scored in the volatile finishes, ie, intermediate, is not an end point distance.
Green T-shirt awarded to the racer, who has the most points in the sprint standings. At the finish of each stage are awarded points sprint. Number of points for each location varies depending on the type of stages - the flat stages give the winner 35 points, 2 nd place - 30 points, then 30,26,24,22,20 and further reduced by one point to 25 th place, with the which accrues 1 point; hilly stages give the winner 25 points, then 22,20,18,17,15 and further reduced by one point until the 20 th place, for which accrues 1 point; mountain stages give the winner 20 points, then 17, 15,13,12,10, and more on point is reduced up to 15 th place, for which accrues 1 point. This is because the more mountainous stage, the less likely the group sprint. Sprint and points are awarded for stages with separate start: the winner receives 15 points, then 12,10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 point for 10 th place. Additional points are available at the intermediate sprint finishes: awarded to the first three riders, respectively, for the first 6 points, 4 points for second and 2 points for third place.
White T-shirt awarded the best young rider (under 25 years old on 1 January of the year, which runs the race)
Two junior classification - a white T-shirt awarded best young rider, as well as T-shirt of the combat (attacker) driver, which is awarded for "keeping the spirit of struggle." Every day, judges count the number of points drivers who were most in isolation. The racer with the most points gets a white-on-red (instead of black-on-white) identification number.
