Istanbul Ataturk International Airport is located on the European side of Istanbul, approximately 20 km/12 miles south-west of the city centre and in the Yesilkoy area, close to Bakirkoy, Faith, Litros, Mahmutbey and Kucukcekmece. The suburb of Zeytinburnu is also nearby, just beyond Istanbul's ancient Walls of Constantinople and situated directly to the east, lying next to the coast of the Marmara Sea.
