03/28/2011 Radiation in Hong Kong, China- levels of background radiation do not threat to tourists
According to radiation monitoring in Hong Kong, the radiation level in Hong Kong is the 0.1 microsievert per hour (10 micro-roentgen per hour), with acceptable levels of background radiation-from 0,05 to 0,2 microsievert per hour. Thus, this levels of background radiation in Hong Kong is very low and more less, than the level of background radiation in New York,USA (on 28 March 2011, background radiation in New York is 0.145 microsievert per hour (14,5 micro-roentgen per hour). Map of winds in the area of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, compiled on March 28, 2011 at 12.00 Chinese time is shown at the top. Winds on the map of winds shows, that the wind direction in the area of the nuclear plants in Fukushima Prefecture, excludes the creation of threat to Hong Kong.
