According to the Australian TV channel ABC, a group of Australian scientists, led by Mandyam Srinivasan from the Brain Institute in Queensland, proposed a new simpler algorithm for the navigation system of UAV, developed on the basis of the navigation system of parrots. The new algorithm assumes, that the rate of drones should be directly proportional to the distance to objects, - the rate should decrease on approach to the objects and grow away from them. Scientists have calculated, that using such an algorithm of motion, the military drones can almost 2-2.5 times faster will fly under bridges, in buildings in the city or debris on the battlefield. A new algorithm for the navigation system of UAV is also considerably less memory on-board computer and does not require such large scale calculations, the existing algorithms for navigation systems in UAVs, which will be used to free resources on-board computer drone for other tasks.
