Japanese TV channel NHK reported, that the Japanese Government will revise the plan to create a system of earthquake prediction in 2013 to a more detailed study of the historical data about powerful Japanese earthquakes in the past. Japanese scientists believe, that inattention to the study of major earthquakes in Japanese history was the reason, that scientists have not been able to predict the devastating earthquake at March 11, 2011 in Japan. According to the TV channel NHK, since January 2013, according to a new plan for creating a system of predicting earthquakes, Japanese seismologists attention will be focused not on the study of the geological features of tremors, and more on the study of historical documents and records of the major Japanese earthquakes.
