In the Hainan Island completed annual International competition of surfing - O'Neill Surfing Hainan Open. Competitions were held near the Wanning, located in the southeast of Hainan Island. This competition is traditionally held annually in the first week of November, but in this year O'Neill Surfing Hainan Open was held on the first weekend of November, from Saturday the 6th until Monday the 8th. Despite the fact, that the competition was attended by many famous surfers, anyone could take part in the O'Neill Surfing Hainan Open, fee for participation in competitions was 400 yuan. Competitions were conducted on four types of boards: Shortboard, Longboard, Bodyboard and for the first time in this competition-Stand Up Paddleboard. The result of competition Winners:

In Wenchang, Hainan was held the International competition of kiteboarding KTA Asia Kiteboard Tour. Competitions was held from November 25 to November 29,2010. The biggest in China a water sports center and a museum of dragon boats will be build in Boao, Hainan

Today was announced about construction of China's largest base for water sports, such as kayaking, canoeing, sailing, surfing, kite-surfing in the Boao City, Hainan. Approved the construction cost is 2 billion yuan (about 308 million U.S. dollars). It is planned, that the sports tourism base in Boao City should become a major destination for water sports in China. Sport Center in Boao will be a modern water sports complex, where it will be possible to organize the training process and competitions for many water sports. For most tourist attraction of the Sports Center, in Boao will build also a museum of "Dragon Boats". "Dragon Boats" have emerged in China several thousand years ago, but was first widely they became known after 1982, after they were shown in New York and the Americans are very like an exotic spectacle. The museum in the Boao City will collect dozens of the most exotic and famous "Dragon Boats", which will surely attract tourists from around the world. Over the past few days, several websites reported, that on Hainan Island, in the Wanning City, was opened the largest Chinese surf club, but these reports are untrue, yet in the Wanning City only being built surf club (see a photos above, which were taken in the Wanning City on October 16, 2011). windsurfing 2017 - on sailboards will be held in Sanya, Hainan, China

International competitions in windsurfing 2017 - on sailboards will be held in Sanya, Hainan, China, namely in the Syanavan and Yalunvan bays in the period from 10 to 12 November 2017, and in the period from November 15 to November 17, the final of the city of Haikou of these competitions.
