Nice Carnival 2012 will be held from February 17, 2012 to March 4, 2012 (see the map at the top of this article). In 2012, the Carnival of Nice 2012 will be devoted to sports, in connection with the Olympics 2012 in London, UK. Within two weeks, the all visitors will see the grandiose parades with thousands of musicians and dancers from around the world, dressed in the most sumptuous costumes. In addition, participants will be cast away from specific platforms tens of thousands of flowers. Carnival in Nice traditionally ends with a grand fireworks display. Traditional Carnival in Nice is the most important event of the winter in Europe and third largest carnival in the world, in 2010, the Carnival was attended by about a million tourists from around the world.

City officials in Paris included a colorful festive illumination on the main street of Paris-Champs Elysees (see the map at the top of this article). Now, the all 200 trees on the Champs Elysees decorated with tri-colored luminous rings with tri-colored Christmas light LEDs, with three rings of garlands on every tree. Festive illumination performed Belgian firm ACT Lighting Design, winning the international competition among 27 other projects.
