International Mediterranean Tourism Market 2012 in Tel Aviv- the address on the map

In the period from February 14 to February 15, 2012 in Tel Aviv, Israel will be held the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) (see the map at the top of this article), on which will be presented to more than 800 pavilions from 28 countries worldwide. New photo exhibition dedicated to the Ethiopian community in Israel, opened at the Museum of Eretz Yisrael


Following the last in 2013, the exhibition "Journey to Ethiopia - a country of miracles", from February 25 to March 25 in the Museum of the Land of Israel will be a presentation of works by Gidon Agaza (Gidon Agaza), a photographer who was born in Ethiopia and emigrated to Israel at the age of 11 years. His work is dedicated to everyday life of the Ethiopian community in Israel, as well as memories of the homeland.

Photos of the event can help guests explore the eastern Africa and talk about the traditions of the indigenous peoples, the traditional holiday Sigad, which is annually celebrated in Jerusalem, and since 2009 is a day for immigrants from the African country. Ethiopian Jews are proud of the fact that since the time of the Queen of Sheba their compatriots honored Zion and never forgotten.

This is not the only event that is organized by immigrants from Ethiopia. In December in Jerusalem is a traditional festival Hullegeb, where the authorities organize a job fair immigrants from Ethiopia - painters and sculptors, and musical and theatrical performances, which merge together Israeli and Ethiopian culture.
