National Aerospace Agency of Japan reported today, that Japan's interplanetary probe AkatsUKi (Dawn) will not be able to enter the calculated orbit around Venus because of damage to its main engine, which can not develop the necessary capacity. The probe AkatsUKi was launched on May 20, 2010, it was assumed that the probe will rotate around Venus in an ellipse, Venus is closest to 550 km away and 80 thoUSAnd kilometers, but due to a malfunction of main engine, the probe AkatsUKi will not go to this calculated orbit. A new attempt to translate the probe AkatsUKi on the orbit of Venus, which is close to settlement, can be made only in 2015, when it will be from Venus, at a minimum distance.
