never been a singularity - an infinitely small region of space-time, full of

"Our theory suggests that the Universe may be infinitely large," - said study
co-author Sauri Das, a theoretical physicist at the University of Letbridzhskogo
in Alberta, Canada.

According to the theory of the Big Bang our Universe appeared about 13.8 billion
years ago from a singularity. The concept of singularity stems from the
equations of Einstein's general theory of relativity, describing the distortion
of space-time within it the masses, as well as from another equation called the
equation of Paradise-Chaudhuri, which serves for predicting the convergence or
divergence of the trajectories of material points in time. Calculated in

However, the idea of the cosmological singularity contains elements of
contradiction. Under the provisions of the laws of Einstein's theory of physics

scientists extrapolate physical dependence back in time, as if the equations of
physics in those conditions were in effect, said Robert Brandenberg, a
theoretical cosmologist at the University of Mkzhil, Montreal, who was not
involved in the new study.

"Therefore, when we say that our Universe began with the Big Bang, in reality,
we have no logical reason to say so," - said journalists Brandenburg edition

In his new job Das and her colleagues relied on the so-called Bohm mechanics,
which, unlike other formulations of quantum mechanics operates on the concept of

the researchers have modified Einstein's equations of general relativity by
