Created ultra-precise clocks that can measure time dilation - VIDEO PDF Print E-mail

Physicists have created a high-accuracy clock running on strontium atoms. They are unique in that two copies of desynchronization clock to a second possible only after 16 billion years.
As stated in the published in the journal Nature Photonics study, strontium clock is 1000 times more precisely those that work on cesium atoms - they were created earlier, and until recently were considered the most faithful, reports "Rossiyskaya Gazeta". If the conventional mechanical watch, time is measured by the pendulum swing, the work is based on a unique atomic vibrations of the atoms.

New ultra-precise clocks can be used to measure the gravitational time dilation. As is well known, as the distance from the Earth's rate of flow of time increases. As far as it is - will help determine the clock on strontium atoms.
