A team of US scientists has developed a nanowire coating for clothing that can not only produce their thermal energy, but also to keep the heat radiated by the human body. Reported that the efficiency of the new material products higher than in conventional clothing.

Technology can help people reduce their dependence on traditional energy sources - said lead researcher Yi Cui of Stanford University in California.

Scientists and politicians from around the world are trying to reduce the cost of space heating by improving the thermal insulation properties of building materials to retain heat generated inside the buildings. The research team Tsuyya decided to go another way: warm people, not the room.

Scientists have developed a set of light and breathable materials with sufficient flexibility so that they can be used for garments. Clothes made of nanometer diameter wire is much more effective at trapping heat than conventional materials, widely used in garments.

The new coating conductive materials are used that are active under the influence of heat and electric energy hold heat. Researchers estimate that their termotkan saves about 1,000 kilowatt hours per person per year - the average American household consumes about the same amount of electricity each month.

As they note, nearly half of the world's energy is consumed for heating buildings and homes. This comfort is the environmental load - about one-third of total greenhouse gas emissions.
