Specialists of the Central Intelligence space environment center (GC CSC ) of Space Command Forces Aerospace Defense (ASD ) performs control and analysis of the spacecraft (SC ) "Kosmos -1242 ", confirmed the convergence of the orbit with its fragments, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation . Analysis of the data collected with radio, optical- electronic, laser and optical equipment of the Russian space control system (PAC), suggests that the convergence of fragments from Earth orbit spacecraft " Space - 1242 " occurred at 23:58 MSK on May 8, over the waters of the Norwegian Sea . According to experts, the fragments of the spacecraft burned when passing the dense layers of the atmosphere. Soviet satellite " Kosmos -1242 " was launched at January 27, 1981 from Plesetsk using rocket "Vostok- 2M". Lifetime spacecraft orbit ended at May 15, 1982, VIDEO:
