As reported the Astrophysical Journal Letters, John Carr from the Research Laboratory of the U.S. Navy (NRL), based on data from the Keck Observatory in Hawaii (WM Keck Observatory), found a water vapor in the atmosphere of exoplanet - tau Bootis B. Availability of water vapor was possible to determine, using a near-infrared spectrograph and the Doppler effect, using software, that has developed by Chad Bender from the University of Pennsylvania.
