On the website of Kronotsky reserve reported, that Novosibirsk geneticists during the expedition to the Valley of Geysers in Kamchatka discovered eight new types of microbial communities and dark filamentous green algae, that live at temperatures up to 98 degrees Celsius, it is in almost boiling water. As reported Vladimir Mosolov, deputy director of the Kronotsky reserve for Science, genetics of Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have discovered a unique dark-green algae in the volcano caldera, in the Valley of Geysers and in Death Valley, but the greatest interest for science are filamentous sulfur bacteria, that survive in the sulfur hot springs at temperatures above 60 degrees, THE VIDEO:
