The European Centre for Space Studies reported, that in the first time in space experiment was conducted to verify the functionality of the new protocol DTN (Disruption Tolerant Networking), in which Sunita Williams, astronaut of International Space Station (ISS), can manage from the Earth's orbit a little robot, which was made from parts of "Lego", which is located in the European Mission Control Center in Darmstadt, Germany. Thus, NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) for the first time successfully tested the transmission of information from the ISS to Earth with the help of the first interplanetary Internet - a new data transfer protocol DTN. Despite the fact, that the first test of DTN protocol passed in November 2008, when the NASA scientists have successfully transferred photos from aboard the probe "Deep Impact», but Badri Younes and Sunita Williams find, that this new experiment has shown, that the new protocol DTN in the future can be used on board of the spacecraft in orbit around Mars to control of robots on the surface, THE VIDEO:
