New species of horned dinosaur Xenoceratops foremostensis was found in Canada- VIDEO PDF Print E-mail

In Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences appeared an article of scientists from the Natural History Museum in Cleveland, USA and the University of Toronto, Canada, under the leadership of Michael Ryan and David Evans, that in the province of Alberta in western Canada was found the skeleton of a previously unknown species of dinosaurs Xenoceratops foremostensis, which is one of the oldest horned dinosaur, that lived about 78 million years ago. As reported by Michael Ryan and David Evans, about 80 million years ago, a large horned dinosaurs spread throughout North America, so the shape of the horns of the dinosaurs became more and more bizarre. On skull of new horned dinosaur scientists stumbled by chance, when they study skeletons, which were found in the vicinity of the town of Foremost, Canada in the late 50's a group of paleontologists led by Wann Langston, but then all the bones of horned dinosaurs have been transferred to Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Canada, where they did not studied by paleontologists. New horned dinosaur was named Xenoceratops foremostensis, it belongs to the types of tseratopsid, THE VIDEO:
