In the Nature Geoscience, group of Japanese planetologists, led by RyosUKe Nakamura from National Institute of Advanced Science and Technology in Japan published an article, which stated, that the largest lunar Sea- Ocean of Storms (Oceanus Procellarum), which is located on the visible side of Moon, arose as a result a giant asteroid hitting of the surface of the Moon. According to RyosUKe Nakamura from National Institute of Advanced Science and Technology, in the study of the chemical composition of lunar rocks in the Ocean of Storms, which were obtained by the Japanese probe Kaguya, was established presence on the surface of the Ocean of storms a mineral pyroxene (LCP), which was able to get to the Moon from its interior only by a powerful impact of a celestial body- asteroid. Impact of this asteroid led to the mixing of surface and deep layers of the Moon, as a result of this and there was a lunar Ocean of Storms, THE VIDEO:
