According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States (NOAA) - on March 23, 2012 ceased to receive information about solar flares from the main satellite- the GOES-15 (GOES-P) of GOES group of satellites, which is the main source of most data about solar flares. As reported, the satellite GOES-15 unplanned moved into safe mode, which is reduced to a minimum consumption of electricity on board and off most of the entire payload, including the detectors of solar flares. According to NOAA, they can not out of safe mode the GOES-15 and exact time of the return of the satellite GOES-15 to the work is not defined. GOES-15 satellite (GOES-P) is the newest satellite ofGOES, following the launch of GOES- the GOES-R, is scheduled only for 2015.
