Democracy: government of the people or the power scum?

Active criticism of democracy as a political regime began even before the onset of AD - with Plato and Aristotle. In general, according to historians, only about 30,000 of the 300,000 population of the Athenians of the city (that is, only 10 per cent) had the right to vote, and all the rest had to stand by democratic and obey the will of an absolute minority. As quipped one unknown author, "every citizen in a democratic society must be at least three slaves." And really - in a democracy, initially there was no hint at some sort of equality of all before the law, because there were strict boundaries separating one ruling social group from all others. As a result, this system is so decayed that began to appear the whole school-balabolov Sophists, who taught people oblaposhivat their constituents and acquainted them with such oratorical technique that enables all sorts of scoundrels, liars and hypocrites easily reach power by playing on the emotions of the 10% voters.

It would seem, it has been for so many centuries and even millennia (!), But many people still continue to stubbornly believe in justice and almost sacred blessedness of this obviously flawed political system. Probably modern sophistry has reached such a level of professionalism in terms of the impact on the human brain, that misconception about democracy as the real power of the people sweeps through the centuries and even acquires new myths, more and more absurd and remote from reality.

So, the first country to start to build democracy in the time of our era, was the formation called the United States of America. In the evolution of this state adopted a document of the Declaration of Independence United States. Pathetic title of this text has defined it even more pathetic content:

"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. To secure these rights, Governments are instituted among people, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. If any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, the people have the right to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, based on the principles and forms of organization of power, which, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness . "

Such a beautiful and challenging words like "happiness", "equality" and "rights" looked particularly surreal against the fact that the country has practiced in full exploitation of slave labor, all of the remaining indigenous population of Indians were herded into reservations (or completely destroyed) and all the women (ie, about half the population) had no right to the electoral vote. This here is the happiness and equality - even pohlesche antique.

Widespread democratic slavery in the United States lasted until 1865, and until this year the white owners could absolutely legally in every way to beat, raped repeatedly and, of course, to kill his weak-willed black slaves. Yes, in the same Russian also existed a form of slavery - serfdom, and the peasants, too often treated with great cruelty, but, first of all, for it could condemn the landowner (in the history described dozens of cases), and, secondly, no one even thought to call it hypocritical democracy and declare universal happiness and equality. Apparently, the thing that brought the colonies negros in America and is not considered by people - therefore does not even admit that they, too, must be some kind of law there.

About 150 years ago in the United States officially bans slavery, but white Americans still have difficulty accepting the fact that their black fellow citizens are still the same people as they were, and in spite of the formal release of African Americans observed the relentless pursuit somehow consolidate their subordinate position - including legal manner. So, in 1881, Tennessee adopted a law under which black Americans have to drive on a separate public transport, followed by the southern states swept a wave of racist legislative changes, separating blacks and their white-skinned neighbors.

Discrimination is discrimination, but will return to the subject of slavery. Perfect slave - is the one who does not know that he is a slave, and strongly believes in freedom. So, let slavery and abolished on paper, but in fact the vast majority of citizens of the United States (as well as, and in many other countries with developed capitalism) are as different, invisible form of slavery that is in bondage to the financial (credit).

In other words, the financial and business interests of the capitalist elite are always above the interests of society. As Mark Twain said, "If the election of something dependent, we would not be allowed to participate in them." In fact, what is happening in the developed capitalist countries has nothing to do with democracy and political system called democracy, it would be more correct to call plutocracy - a form of government where the government's decision is not determined by the opinion of all the people, and the influential class of rich people. Perhaps, even the children realize that in our world the main performance does not happen on the stage (ie, not on television screens and newspaper pages), but behind the scenes - there where no access 99% of the population.

The question is why in this text, it says about America - it would seem, what we care about what happens on the other side of the world? Indeed, we have plenty of their own problems and that needs to be solved, but to solve them is much more difficult when the world is a vast country with a powerful army of the world, which for decades and centuries, continuously creates problems and plotting the rest of the world.
So, for 120 years, the United States invaded in 50 countries 130 times - and almost always under the guise of good intentions. You'd think the American financial elite only think about how to save the inhabitants of Panama, Nicaragua, Cuba, Korea, Chile, Mexico and other countries from the yoke of their unjust rulers. Especially cynical looks intervention in African countries under the pretext of human rights, because not so long ago, Africans, as mentioned above, for the people in America were not taken at all.
And this happens every time - interfering in the internal affairs of other countries, the American establishment declares that they are doing it solely out of good intentions - namely, for the sake of exporting democracy and all its attendant benefits. In fact, one has only to recall, in which countries have oil and other resources, and read the history of these areas - in some chapter sure to find the point at which a country is suddenly transferred to a democratic form of government. Of course, not without the "help" of external forces. As usual, this looks like "help" in practice, too, has long been known - in the course are various techniques, which often reach the "humanitarian" bombandirovok, turning the city of this state in ruins.
