As reported Nature and Biology Letters, a group of ecologists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City conducted a special study, which found, that urban birds specifically collect in their nests a cigarette butts to get rid of various parasites. Cave artists painted animals better than modern artists- VIDEO

In the journal PLoS One appeared an article of scientists from Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest, Hungary, under the direction of Gabor Horvath, that the ancient cave artists are better versed in the anatomy of animals, than most contemporary artists, because ancient artists did much fewer errors when drawing animals. The technique of drawing an animals in contemporary art is based on research of photographer Eadweard Muybridge about the biomechanics of movement of animals, which he published in 1887. According to Discovery, paleontologists from the Bavarian national paleontological and geological collections and from the State University of Mexico in northern Mexico discovered a new species of dinosaur with the biggest nose in the world. Scientists describe new species of dinosaurs as Latirhinus uitstlani («lati» means "wide" and «rhinus» means "nose"). Dinosaur Latirhinus uitstlani lived in Mexico about 73 million years ago. As reported, huge nasal cavity of Latirhinus uitstlani made it a very sensitive sense of smell, it is assumed, that the nose of this dinosaur could be a mobile structure of soft tissue, that is inflated like a balloon, according to the teeth it was a herbivorous dinosaur, length of dinosaur was about nine meters and a weight of dinosaur was about 3 tons.
