"Young Street" - a new neighborhood in Paris
Italian restaurant, oyster bar and Korean street food, bakery and confectionery, meat and cheese shops, cinema and art gallery - these and many other places open their doors in the neighborhood La Jeune rue.
French banker and collector Cedric Rodong invited the world's best designers and culinary Parisian quarter in La Jeune Rue. Now for the facades of historic buildings will hide most fashionable oasis of gastronomy and design.
"All quality - natural, beautiful - just delicious - unique" - so formulates the idea of an updated quarter La Jeune Rue («Young Street") Cedric himself.
It all started two years ago when Rodong opened his first restaurant Le Sergent Recruteur, which was awarded two stars "Michelin", and then began buying vacant space in the Marais. Now owned by Cedric about 40 boutiques, for each of the project which will meet individual designer or design company.
At La Jeune Rue already operates several institutions: the Korean eatery Paola Navone, an ice cream parlor interior designer Vincent Darre and Argentinian restaurant Maud Storm.
By the end of the summer will be fully functioning whole quarter, it is known that light designer Tom Dixon will open groceries and fishmongers, Ingo Maurer - bar, creative leader of the Japanese design studio Oka Sato - bakery and confectionery, and Eugene Kuitl
