A team of researchers, led by LaUrance Doyle from SETI Institute in Mountain View, United States discovered in the star system, located at the junction of the constellations Cygnus and Lyra the unusual planet, which orbits located around the two stars and in the sky that rises and sets two Suns . This unusual discovery immediately raised the analogy to the planet Tatooine, home of LUKe Skywalker, the hero of famous film "star Wars". Planet has a planetary index Kepler-16b. However, researchers emphasize that the planet Kepler-16b can not be inhabited, as Kepler-16b is a gas giant with a mass about one-third of the mass of Jupiter. Kepler-16b was detected by observing changes in the brightness of stars in the star system KIC 12644769, which located 220 light years off the Sun. The physical conditions of the planet Kepler-16b exclude the existence of life, similar for Earth, but life may be available on the satellites of the planet Kepler-16b, as well as on other planets in this star system, if they are similar to Earth.
