Mysterious orange goo covered the coast of Alaska near the village of Kivalina PDF Print E-mail

The Associated Press reported, that Janet Mitchell , the head of local administration, announced on August 4, 2011 that a large stretch of coast near the village of Kivalina, Alaska, located at 1100 kilometers northwest of Anchorage, is covered by orange goo of unknown origin. It is reported, that a representative of the U.S. Coast Guard David Mosely also confirmed the presence of orange goo on the coast of Alaska near the village of Kivalina. This orange goo does not smell, but the locals still strongly disturbed by this unusual phenomenon. Preliminary analysis of the orange goo has shown, that it is not a product of chemical industry, to further analyze samples of goo sent to the University of Alaska in Fairbanks.
