In the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences magazine published an article of a group of scientists from the University of Florida in Meritt Island, USA, led by Wayne Nicholson, that in the Siberian permafrost found several strains of bacteria, that can live on Mars, in Martian conditions with a lack of oxygen, low temperature and low pressure. As reported, Wayne Nicholson and his Russian counterparts Cyril Krivushin and David Gilichinsky from Institute of Physico-Chemical and Biological Problems of Soil Science in Pushchino, discovered bacteria, that can live in extreme conditions in sediments of permafrost on the Taimyr Peninsula, at a depth of 40 meters. The analysis of RNA of bacteria was found, that these bacteria belong to Carnobacterium, which in the course of experiments passed all the conditions of life on Mars, with its temperature and pressure, and a type of bacteria, which has received the code name WN 1359, better felt in Martian conditions, than on Earth, THE VIDEO:
