An international team of researchers from Australia and Argentina decided of paleontological mystery older than a hundred years, associated with the ancient mammal Necrolestes patagonensis, which belongs to the group of mammals Meridiolestida. As reported the scientists from Australia and Argentina, Necrolestes patagonensis is the oldest of the mammals found on Earth, which survived the age of the dinosaurs, but for unknown reasons, went extinct about 16 million years ago. The name of the mammal Necrolestes patagonensis translated as "Tomb Raider", because this animal is led an underground life and seemingly looked like the devil from hell - with large claws on their legs, which were necessary for the ground digging.
