In the Nature Communications magazine appeared an article of a group of scientists from the University of Bielefeld, Germany, under the leadership of Olaf Kruse, that the unicellular algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii may emit an endoglucanase, which help to turn a cellulose in the paper into biofuels. According to Olaf Kruse, alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii is able to survive in the lack of light or carbon dioxide in the water, using as a source of food a chemicals that are a part of the paper, making this algae suitable for processing of cellulose in the production cycle of biofuels, as this alga can be modified so, that it will use the a Sun's energy to produce the desired molecules, THE VIDEO:
