Tuesday, 12 June 2012 12:33

A group of scientists led by Thomas von Gzhinski, professor at Newcastle University, conducted a study of life expectancy of age of children according to age of their fathers, which found that older fathers have children, which are more resistant to diseases. The results of this study were published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States. In the opinion of Thomas von Gzhinski: "The older fathers have the longer length of telomeres (end segments of chromosomes), so the life expectancy of future generations will always grow to the extent that the parents will give birth forall at a later age." And Professor Chris Kuzawa said that the longer end segments of chromosomes reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases in a several times.
