Rospotrebnadzor named the regions of Russia, the most suffering from obesity

Rospotrebnadzor published a report on the sanitary-epidemiological situation in Russia. Among the main threats in the ration of Russians - unbalanced food and alcohol. From poisoning the last for two years have died more than 40 thousand citizens of the country. The obesity of the population doubled in five years. Along with it, the incidence of diabetes is growing, from which only 30,000 Russian citizens died last year.
The incidence of obesity among adult Russian people has more than doubled in the last five years, according to the published report "On the state of the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in the Russian Federation in 2016".

Only from 2011 to 2015, this indicator increased by 2.3 times - 124 to 285 people for every 100 thousand people, and a trend towards a further increase in the number of obese patients is projected.

The highest level of people with this diagnosis among the adult population, according to 2015, in the Nenets Autonomous District (1032 people per 100,000 adults), the Altai Territory (976 per 100,000), the Penza Region (678 per 100,000).

"The regularity of the influence of unbalanced nutrition of the population on the prevalence of the incidence of neoplasms, diabetes mellitus, hypertensive disease with predominant heart damage, coronary heart disease, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum and a number of others, is established in Rospotrebnadzor. - The analysis carried out by the bodies of Rospotrebnadzor shows the problems that are common for the vast majority of regions due to inadequate intake of vitally important macro- and microelements from food in the human body and excessive - simple carbohydrates. "

Together with the obesity of the population, for example, the incidence of type II diabetes mellitus is growing.

In 2015, the number of adult Russian citizens with diabetes mellitus increased by 2% compared with 2011 - from 269 to 275 people for every 100,000 residents over 18 years.

And here the agency also predicts a trend towards further growth.

According to the data of 2015, the highest incidence of type II diabetes in the Ivanovo region (531 people per 100,000 residents of the corresponding age), the Kurgan region (459 per 100,000), the Republic of Karelia (424 per 100,000). An equally important component of the quality of the population's food is its safety.

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, diabetes mellitus caused the death of more than 31.5 thousand Russians.

The share of food products with excess of chemical and microbiological contamination in recent years has not changed much and amounted to 0.56% and 4.29% of all sampled samples in 2016. The share of products that did not meet the requirements of technical documentation in 2016 was higher than the same indicator of the previous two years and amounted to 5.08% (in 2015 - 4.33%, in 2014 - 4.55%).

The share of samples of food products that do not meet the sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the content of antibiotics, parasites and radiation is stable and does not exceed 1.0%, the ministry assures.

The presence of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in food products is controlled by Rospotrebnadzor within the framework of "post-registration monitoring". In 2016, 24 684 samples of food products were examined for the presence of such components, of which only 12 samples detected GMOs, and only in two cases there was no information on this for the consumer (one case in Moscow and Altai).
