Balamku is the small ruins of the Maya civilization, located in 65 km of the city of Calakmul in the Mexican state of Campeche, Yucatan Peninsula, on the border with Guatemala. Translated from the Yucatec the Balamku means "Castle of Jaguar". Balamku was discovered only recently- in 1990. Archaelogical complex Balamku consists of three main architectural pieces, among which is located the frieze, which depicts a lizards. The length of the frieze is 16 meters, height is 1.75 meters with remains of paint. The frieze is located at the bottom of one of the structures of Balamku.
