Yesterday in the Hainan Island completed annual International competition of surfing - O'Neill Surfing Hainan Open. Competitions were held near the Wanning, located in the southeast of Hainan Island. This competition is traditionally held annually in the first week of November, but in this year O'Neill Surfing Hainan Open was held on the first weekend of November, from Saturday the 6th until Monday the 8th. Despite the fact, that the competition was attended by many famous surfers, anyone could take part in the O'Neill Surfing Hainan Open, fee for participation in competitions was 400 yuan. Competitions were conducted on four types of boards: Shortboard, Longboard, Bodyboard and for the first time in this competition-Stand Up Paddleboard. The result of competition Winners:

Third – Holly Beck

Fourth – Daniel Bergamaschi

 

Professional Longboard Competition Finals:

Winner – Rob Bain

Amateur Shortboard Competition Finals:

Winner – Dane Jordan

Second – Daniel Lau

Third – Jon Lund

Fourth – Randy Chang

 

Amateur Longboard Competition Finals:

Winner – Daniel Lau

Second – Bei Bei (Niu Chen Lin)

Third – Da Hai

Fourth – Daniel Bergamaschi

 

Stand-Up Paddleboard Competition Finals:

Winner – Wingnut

Second – Kristian Ros

Third – Daniel Lau
